The results achieved since implementing the Speed ​​by Road program are significant. All indicators have decreased since effective control of speeding was implemented. Between 2019 and 2020, Comgás achieved several reductions:

Telemetry is an important resource that we have always had at Grupo Orguel and we believe it is important to maintain it, as the information generated is crucial for evaluating the scenario and thinking about the actions that should be taken.

The fleet has 140 outsourced vehicles, all equipped with telemetry for about five years. The use of technology was extremely important for the Orguel Group, as it helped fleet professionals understand that the drivers' driving profile was very aggressive, resulting in high numbers of traffic violations and accidents – in 2017, there were 61.879 incidents. The actions yielded positive results: from January to October 2020, there were 15.158 incidents involving fleet vehicles.

We built a model in which we were able to reduce to 4 unsafe behaviors in 1000km driven. What it is is a reduction of more than 90%, since before we had 57 of these behaviors in 1000km driven.

Since safety is a core value at Cocamar, the executive manager of integrated logistics, Ezequiel Scopel, saw in Velocidade por Via (Speed ​​by Road) an opportunity to reduce the number of unsafe behaviors among its drivers. Through the 'Safe Life' project, which includes awareness campaigns on traffic safety and the use of tools such as facial recognition, telemetry, and Vvia , Cocamar has seen a significant reduction in the number of unsafe behaviors.

We started to collect this volume of speeding data and alert drivers and managers about the behavior on a daily basis. We start with speeds above 130 [km/h], then we go to 120, then 110, then we go down to 100.

The work of Belagrícola's fleet management team changed radically with the adoption of certain technologies. Cost reductions emerged, speeding was eliminated, and a vehicle sharing operation was implemented – actions that led to fuel savings of approximately R$500 per year . By implementing telemetry, they were able to analyze safety processes and raise driver awareness. Through the comparison of engine revolutions per minute (RPM) at different speeds, they were able to measure the difference in fuel consumption.

For Invepar, the change occurred across the entire landscape. The company studied market players, implemented telemetry, developed a fleet policy, and began attending industry events and courses. The movement gained momentum, and results appeared very quickly. Today, Invepar maintains a team of 23 employees dedicated to regulating, monitoring, and constantly improving the use and performance of all its vehicles, machines, equipment, and drivers, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 2017, the first speeding measurements indicated approximately 213 speeding violations per 100 kilometers driven. After implementing the Fleet Policy in all companies and providing training to drivers, they reached a rate of 1,6 speeding violations per 100 km driven.

When we also compare our safety pyramid, we observe that in our own fleet operation the number of near incidents is reduced, which reduces the statistical probability of a more serious event.

For Ypê, fleet policy goes hand in hand with telemetry . The company has a strict fleet policy and terms of responsibility that include the driver's duties and obligations, as well as disciplinary measures. The benefits side also works in full force: drivers are rewarded based on three categories—light fleet, heavy fleet, and forklifts—with even the forklifts having telemetry solutions.

Telemetry has always been a need for our fleet and when we moved forward with the project it was a success due to the safety and culture change that the equipment soon brought. One of the main roles of Lactalis Fleet Management is to mitigate risks and add value to the fleet with processes that bring quality and reduction.

At Lactalis, the results of telemetry were already visible in the first few months. With the help of the software, the fleet manager and the team managed to reduce costs by R$ 340.000 in just six months of telemetry . The biggest savings were in fuel. Furthermore, it was a real change in safety culture, as managers and drivers began to adopt the value of safety in all their actions on the road.

Today, 100% of the commercial fleet has Golfleet telemetry, with each vehicle assigned to a driver, who is responsible for that asset. “Golfleet was a great partner at the time. We finished installing the trackers in October 2019 and only then did we begin to have visibility into car location, costs, etc.", he highlights.

From this, management incorporated measures such as internal vehicle sharing and the contracting of corporate mobility, with commuting strategies. "With this, we achieved savings of R$ 5,7 million in 2020 ," recalls Priscila.

We managed to reduce speeding incidents from 7.652 per year to 1.610 per year, which is equivalent to a 79% reduction . In addition to the speed reduction, the company also reduced fuel consumption and maintenance. In November 2019, an accident occurred, and 5 employees were seriously injured. From then on, we spared no effort and did not give up on showing the company how important state-of-the-art telemetry equipment was in preventing a fatality.

At the time we had employees driving vehicles at speeds above 160km/h. It was then that we hired Golfleet telemetry, which began to provide accurate data regarding speeding and behavioral deviations. With this, we were able to draw up action plans for the corrections that needed to be made.

Today, accidents are falling a lot, especially the serious ones. The fines falling each month and the many that were previously serious and very serious are now a minority. We are very proud of this project, not because of the value it added to the business, but because of the knowledge that today each of our team returns home much more safely.

For Zoetis, there is fleet management before and after telemetry. We provide personalized training in our corporate university with 14 videos lasting an average of 10 minutes with the rules and regulations of the Fleet Policy and practical driving tips. The Golfleet platform allows us to quickly export data relating to each driver's driving.

With the goal of making safety a core value and establishing a safe culture capable of protecting the lives of all employees and achieving a concrete change in behavior, in September 2022, Lavoro officially launched the Lavoro Safe Driving Program.

Thus, Lavoro shares their driving behaviors individually with drivers, providing information so that they can identify areas for improvement and put them into practice in the next period. In the first 6 months of the project, the results already include the following reductions:

• 55% in drivers in the risk category.

Through the Speed ​​by Road (Vvia) module, it was possible to assemble a team and define acceptable parameters to achieve the KPIs. An interesting fact is that the Vvia module showed that simply limiting a speed wasn't enough . The module allowed us to see that perhaps that driver wasn't the biggest offender of the 120km/h speed limit, but could be a potential offender on a road with a 30km/h limit where they were traveling at 80km/h. It was a warning sign. We always emphasize to our drivers that our goal is not to track them. We seek to make them aware that they need to return home alive, because that's where their greatest treasures are. Returning safely is paramount.

Currently, Copasul's fleet has 229 vehicles, including light and heavy cars and motorcycles, and an average of 3 thousand km driven per month per vehicle.
