Fixed fine for legal entity is among the new traffic rules
The new rules determine that companies that own a vehicle must pay extra for fines in which the offending driver is not presented or indicated.
In the case of traffic violations recorded for vehicles owned by a legal entity, identifying the driver is a mandatory step . After all, the points related to the violations will be applied to the driver's license of the identified driver.
According to the updated legislation, in cases where the offending driver is not identified, a new fine will be issued to the vehicle owner. Therefore, the amount to be paid by the legal entity will be doubled.

For example, if a driver commits a serious traffic violation, the initial fine would be R$195,23 , however, if the driver is not identified, the fine levied against the vehicle owner becomes R$390,46.
