Traffic is an environment that demands responsibility and full attention from the driver. This is because approximately 1,3 million people are victims of traffic every year in the world - according to data from the Global Road Safety Report, released in 2018 by the World Health Organization (WHO). Therefore, it is the task of the fleet manager to be attentive to the behavior of its drivers, to act assertively in favor of safety, making traffic safer for the company's drivers and others. And a great ally when it comes to traffic safety is telemetry!
telemetry saves lives
Knowing that telemetry would bring countless gains to its fleet, EQS Engineering sought out Golfleet to implement the technology in its 1500 vehicles in 2019. As a company that has been in the market for 32 years, EQS Engenharia realized that the telemetry would be essential for the management of its operation, since, according to its fleet manager, Guilherme Fortkamp Proença, the company “needed to obtain more detailed information on the vehicles and know how they were being driven by employees.”
In a short time, telemetry has already proved to be essential for the entire operation of EQS Engenharia, especially when it comes to safety. Proença says that “in less than 1 month of data management, we were able to reduce more than 6000 behaviors considered at risk!”. And since drivers are driving more cautiously, EQS decided to further encourage good driving practices by recognizing good drivers using the information that is generated by the golfleet system. “We believe that in this way we will be contributing to a better society, in addition to reducing costs, accidents and traffic violations for EQS”, says the fleet manager.
Even in a short time, telemetry has already brought many benefits to the EQS fleet. “We are sure that our partnership with Golfleet, despite being recent, will be long-lasting, as the companies share the same values, always seeking continuous improvement and generating results”, concludes Proença.
